The Robarts Library has partially reopened as of September 10 for current U of T students, faculty, and staff. 
Our online collections and services continue to be available. 

September 10 – December 18, 2020

  • Monday – Thursday: 9 am – 9 pm
  • Friday: 9 am – 6 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday: 1 – 6 pm
  • CLOSED:  Monday October 12 – Thanksgiving
  • No extended hours service

Curbside Pickup Service hours

  • Monday – Saturday: 10 am – 4 pm
  • Sunday: CLOSED


We are the largest academic library in Canada. Our collection focuses mainly on the humanities and social science disciplines and our building houses several other U of T libraries.

How to access

There are no extended study hours at Robarts Library in Fall 2020.

Extended study hours at Robarts Library

During the fall/winter term Robarts library is open 24 hours a day from Sunday night to Thursday evening. The service is open to all UofT students, staffs and faculty with a valid TCard. More information see Extended study hours at Robarts Library.

There is no access to Robarts stacks in Fall 2020.

Book stacks

Access Robarts Library's book stacks with a valid TCard, U of T library card, a U of T alumni card, a stack access card, or a short-tem visitor's stack pass. We can retrieve items from the stacks for you to use in the library if you don’t have stacks access.  


Materials housed in storage can be requested through the library catalogue.
