Pseudonyms or Pen Names

If an author uses a pen name, or more than one name, try the name you know. If this is not the version used by the Library Catalogue it will often refer you to the preferred version.

Names in Non-Roman scripts

The Library catalogue can only be searched with roman characters. Names in other character sets such as Arabic, Cyrillic, Japanese, etc have been transliterated into roman characters.

If you are not sure how a name in a non-roman script will be entered in the Library Catalogue, try the spelling that you are familiar with. Usually sounding out the name will work. The Library Catalogue will often refer you to the spelling used in the catalogue.
