Professor Thomas Homer-Dixon, the Centre's Director, holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is one of the world's leading authorities on environmental security and social adaptation to complex stress. The findings of his groundbreaking research have been widely used by top security and foreign policy agencies in Canada and the United States, including the U.S. State Department, the CIA, and the National Security Council.
