Welcome to the Faculty Housing Website at the University of Toronto |
About Our ServicesThe University of Toronto has created a unique stock of housing units available for rent to new and visiting faculty members of the University. The units are located in century homes in the centre of the City of Toronto. Located on the St. George Campus, the housing is situated within steps of schools, libraries, child care centres, parks, recreation facilities, restaurants, museums and public transportation, while theatres, shopping facilities and the vast array of the City's rich cultural offerings are minutes away. The units are divided between New Faculty Housing and Visiting Faculty Housing. New Faculty Housing is unfurnished and available to newly- or recently-appointed University of Toronto faculty with full-time tenured or tenure-stream academic appointments. Visiting Faculty Housing is fully-furnished and available to visiting professors who have received a formal invitation to teach and/or conduct research at the University of Toronto. All units are outfitted with refrigerators and stoves. Most include backyards, decks, or balconies. Communal laundry facilities are provided at no extra cost to all residents. Monthly rates for New Faculty Housing depend on the size of the unit. Monthly rates for Visiting Faculty Housing depend on the size of the unit and the length of stay. Reserved, uncovered parking spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis, either on-site or nearby at low monthly rates. Demand for these apartment units is strong and supply is limited.
