A hybrid between Ragged Fringed-orchid (P. lacera) and Small Purple Fringed-orchid (P. psycodes). In Muskoka, has only been found at two localities, both on Sparrow Lake. At one site, both parents were present, but neither parent was found at the second site. Both of these sites were in partial to full shade in swampy woods that were dominated by Silver Maple, Red Maple and/or Green Ash. Blooms in July. Rare in Muskoka.
