Listera convallarioides (Sw.) Nutt. ex Elliott

(Broad-lipped Twayblade)

Only two known localities in Muskoka, both on Beausoleil Island. In partial to full shade in wet Eastern White Cedar woods, usually growing in wet moss and humus is small depressions with Naked Mitrewort, Rattlesnake Fern, Early Coral-root, Dwarf Rattlesnake-plantain, Heart-leaved Twayblade and Blunt-leaf Orchid. Blooms in mid to late June. Very rare in Muskoka.
