FACULTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS
In accordance with the By-laws of the Council of the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty Council's Striking Committee is seeking nominations for:
Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Council
Chairs and Members of Standing Committees
In making nominations, the current (1998-99) membership of each Standing Committee and the membership of Faculty Council 1999-2000 session should be referred to, since membership on Faculty Council is a requirement for two of the Standing Committees, i.e., the Agenda and the Striking Committees. For other Committees and the Speaker and Deputy Speaker positions, any member of staff of the Faculty of Medicine may be nominated. According to the By-laws, "when making nominations, members will obtain the written concurrence of nominees to stand for election as chair and/or member of the committee to which nominees are being proposed". A Nomination Form, on which nominees can indicate their willingness to stand, is available from Department Chairs or Sonia Wadwhani.
