Finding journal articles

Why use journal articles?

Finding journal articles is a 2-step process.

1. Begin by searching for your topic in an article database (also known as a periodical index) for a list of citations. See the sample citation below.

2.Once you have your citation, the next step is to find the journal that published the article.

There are different types of journal articles such as review and clinical trials. Your professor may ask you to find primary research articles. Click on the tab above for more information about how to find these resources.
