Jacob Young has recently completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. His areas of specialization are economics, philosophy and the Chinese language. He plans to spend a year studying Chinese in Nankai University in Tianjin, China, for 2002/03, after which he pursue graduate studies in economics. Jacob has been an analyst with the G8 Research Group for two years and has prepared reports on France, Japan and the HIPC initiative. His other work experience includes policy research at Quebec's Ministry of Education, and information technology training at the Canadian Opera Company. He attended the Genoa Summit in 2001 and will be onsite this year in Calgary.
In addition to French and Mandarin, he speaks intermediate Spanish.
