TRY is the acroynm for the participating libraries that annually organize the conference. It is composed of the University of Toronto, Ryerson University and the York University Libraries. The main objective of the TRY Library Staff Conference is to engage peers within the Toronto library university community.

The Library is the primary academic information resource for the University. It promotes learning, supports teaching, and enhances scholarly, research and creative activities. It does so by building collections and providing expert and innovative services and access to information.
