• Amethyst Review 1997.
• Atlantic Poetry Prize 2001.
• Alden Nowlan Award for Excellence In English Liteature 2003.
• Atlantic Book Prize, 2002, for Keeping Afloat.
• Banff Centre Bliss Carman Poetry Award, 2006.
• Poem 'Blue Interior' on a painting by Molly Bobak
was selected by the Beaverbrook Art Gallery for its Words on the Wall program 2007. Honorable Mention: Descant 2009, included in Best Canadian Poems 2009.
• Poems of M. Travis Lane's have been set to music by Humphrey Searle and by Brenda Muller. The long poem 'The Witch of the Inner Wood' as performed in several venues by Muller's Ardeleana Trio. Has been a featured poet at Muller's Blue Bridge Festival in Ontario in 2007 and 2008.
