Have a great long weekend!
The NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Digital Archives includes images of NIST Museum artifacts and full-text NIST publications. The Museum Collection (included in the Digital Archive) is a collection of artifact images including some of the scientific instruments on display at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Museum located on the NIST campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Museum Collection includes images of things such as standard measures (meters, centimeters, etc.), refractometers, coulometers, and other artifacts. Many of the artifacts have only minimal information associated with them, and the NIST would like help identifying them (for example, see “Wood box with one dial on top“).
The CSA Standards Online access will be unavailable on Saturday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for maintenance.
The client (download) version of SciFinder will be discontinued on June 30, 2011 for all U.S. and Canadian academic institutions. SciFinder will now only provide the web version of SciFinder. If you are currently using the client version, please check out the web version to help make the transition as seamless as possible.
The web version offers new features, is available from anywhere, and has the same content as the client version in an easy to use interface.
U of T subscribes to the web version of SciFinder – for more information on how to register and use SciFinder, please see UTL’s SciFinder page.
