Research workshops

Engineering & Computer Science Library will be offering research workshops in September and October to help you with your research needs. You can sign up for these courses online.

Engineering Library also offers tours of the Library. Tours are conducted Thursdays at 2:10 pm. Meet at the Reference Help Desk in the Library.

Advanced Engineering Research

Improve your research skills, review your search strategies, and get up to date on new developments in database searching. Ideal for graduate or upper level undergraduate students undertaking library research for papers or literature reviews for theses.

Refworks for Engineers

Refworks is a free online tool you can use to organize your research and easily output formatted bibliographies in approved styles such as IEEE. Learn to import references from engineering databases, organize citations, share your database with colleagues, output a bibliography, and output a footnoted document with reference list.

Amazing Library Race Winners!

Congratulations to Greg and Mattia, who won the morning and afternoon versions of the Amazing Library Race, as well as everyone else who took on the challenge of navigating the Engineering and Computer Science Library! A HUGE thank you to the volunteers who helped run the event, and made it a success!

Amazing Library Race – Wednesday September 9, 11:10 and 3:10!

Do you have what it takes to complete the Engineering and Computer Science Library’s Amazing Library Race?

Who: First year Applied Science and Engineering students, and anyone else who wants to participate and get prizes!

What: The Amazing Library Race – participants will race around the library, completing challenges and getting passport stamps. The first person to finish will win the Grand Prize, but everyone who participates will get a prize! Prizes include pens, staple-less staplers, notebooks, t shirts, luggage tags, bags, and other swag that will help you get through first year.

When : Wednesday September 9, 11:10 and 3:10 – come to one or both!

Where: The Engineering and Computer Science Library (SF2402) – meet at the Reference Help Desk, straight ahead when you enter the library

Why: When else do you have the chance to race around the library and be rewarded for it?
